2013 Mourvedre
95% mourvedre and 5% grenache. The Red Mountain Mourvedre has blueberry and sandalwood on the nose. The palate has blue / black fruits and spice with lively acidity and silky tannins. This wine is an ideal match for lamb or other game meats.
Production notes
The wine was made by gently crushing and de-stemming the clusters directly into bins without the use of a must pump. Fermentation was completed using commercial yeasts and then the wine was pressed into 2-3 year old French 225L barrels where ML took place. The wine was aged for approximately 2O months before bottling. No fining or filtering took place.

89 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
The aromas intrigue, with notes of dark raspberry, red and black licorice, herb and cherry gummy. Aged in neutral oak, it has a palate that emphasizes purity of expression. Put it on the dinner table to see it at its best. Drink now.
