2016 Belle
45% grenache, 33% syrah, 22% mourvedre. This Southern Rhone style GSM blend opens with spiced cherries and plums mingled with tobacco, musk, leather, and graphite.
Production notes
The wine was made by gently crushing and de-stemming the clusters directly into bins without the use of a must pump. 25% of the grapes were fermented as whole clusters. Fermentation was completed using commercial yeasts and then the wine was pressed into 4-5 year old French 225L barrels and tanks where ML took place. The wine was aged for approximately 48 months before bottling. No fining took place and the wine was filtered through a coarse pad to remove the lees.
