2023 Columbia Valley Syrah
lOO% Syrah from Walla Walla County. This Syrah comes from Lodmell Vineyard, perched above the mouth of the Snake River. The wine has ripe black fruit flavors mingled with notes of anise, clove, and tar.
The grapes were gently destemmed and fermented as whole berries with commercial yeasts. Approximately 10% of the fruit was fermented as whole clusters. The wine was pressed into 4-year-old French 225L barrels where MLF took place. After 17 months the wine was bottled without fining or filtration.
